Developing and piloting of an environmental flow assessment and implementation framework for Vietnam
Alluvium and partners were engaged to work with the Department of Water Resources Management - Vietnam (DWRM-MONRE) to scope and implement an activity focused on environmental flows in Vietnam.
Using hydrological and statistical methods, the approach aligns with international best practices while remaining feasible for Vietnam. DWRM will now use the framework to publish minimum flows for all major basins, enhancing aquatic ecosystem protection and paving the way for future holistic environmental flow assessments.
