The Australian Water Partnership (AWP) led the Ayeyarwady State of the Basin Assessment (SOBA) as the foundation for an integrated basin plan. As program coordinator, Alluvium oversaw a 2-year initiative, including technical assessments, institutional reviews, and capacity-building.

Australia-Myanmar on Water Resources

As the coordinator of the Australian Government’s (DFAT & AWP) water program in Myanmar, we were responsible for program design, managing implementation and technical oversight for a multi-million-dollar development assistance program to Myanmar (AUD3.6 million/2 years). The work program included technical assessments on river basin management, climate change, and hydraulic and geomorphological surveys, as well as institutional reviews, reform, and capacity-building programs to support Myanmar's establish a national Hydro-Informatics Centre and Secretariat for the NWRC as well as the development of a GESI and M&E framework.
