Our work
Alluvium Consulting is a science, engineering, strategy and design practice. We aim to influence the direction of catchment and water management in Australia through our work with federal, state and regional government, and private sector clients in the resources and development sectors.
We focus on working with natural processes to create sustainable and resilient solutions that enhance the health of our catchments, waterways and coastlines. The designs, strategies and policies we develop for our clients are based on strong scientific and engineering expertise.
Our team is recognised for its unique blend of engineering and science expertise, which allows us to assess and understand the biophysical processes of the landscape we are working in to ensure the solutions we develop respond to and complement the natural processes. We work across rural waterways and gullies, urban water management, coastal zone resilience and mining and resources water management solutions.
We use the latest approaches in data science, remote sensing and modelling to underpin and inform our projects. Our approach aims to balance environmental conservation with community needs and sustainable development, ensuring resilience against climate change.
Alluvium excels in developing environmental strategies, plans and policies through collaborative engagement with communities and government. We have made significant contributions to water resources management at national, state and local level, and our expertise and approach is valued by clients. We believe in listening to community, industry and stakeholders, and are committed to building relationships of respect and reconciliation with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.
